Book 1

This is a story about a teenage boy, Peri, as he struggles to survive in a much depleted Earth, 300 years from now. After a massive eruption of the volcano across the strait and the ensuing tsunami, he must leave his home. On his journey to get to the mountains his foster aunt urged him go to after a massive eruption of the volcano across the strait and the ensuing tsunami, he rescues Sooley, a young indigenous girl, from cannibals. Together they find a baby and travel on through many adventures, meet unusual characters, ending up in a place they would never in their wildest dreams have known existed.
